Teemu Selanne left Finland's hockey opener with an upper-body injury, but is expected to return for its second game at the Olympics. ''It's tough to see him get injured, but he'll be OK,'' teammate Olli Jokinen said. It's never easy when you lose a guy like him.'' The 43-year-old Anaheim Ducks forward is the oldest hockey player at the Sochi Games and has tied a record by playing in the Olympics for a sixth time.

The U.S. has swept the podium in men's slopestyle skiing. Joss Christensen soared to gold in the sport's Olympic debut, posting a score of 95.80 to beat teammates Gus Kenworthy and Nick Goepper. The gold was the fourth for the U.S. in Sochi, all won on the slopes of the Rosa Khutor Extreme Park. In conditions better suited for a spring break in the mountains than the Winter Olympics, the 22-year-old Christensen was by far the best.

Dwyane Wade was a late scratch from the Miami Heat's starting lineup against the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night because of nerve irritation in his left foot, leaving his status for the All-Star game in doubt. Wade sat out Tuesday night's victory at Phoenix with a migraine headache and appeared to be in good spirits before Miami's 111-110 win over the Warriors, chatting with reporters for nearly 10 minutes in the locker room. He was listed at his usual shooting guard spot and announced during pregame introductions, but seconds before tipoff the Heat said he would not play.
